Trained volunteer
members are currently working in their own homes with many species of
injured and baby birds, using specialized diets and techniques to
facilitate their recovery and success when restored to their natural
habitat.
We assess injuries, treat shock and dehydration, splint broken bones,
administer medications, treat a variety of wounds, perform physical
therapy, feed hungry babies, and provide supportive care to all the
birds we receive.
We have exceptionally skilled rehabilitators on call for consultation.
We also rely on avian veterinarians for expert advice and surgical and
technical procedures. |
